Hearing loss is a very difficult thing to bear and a technically complex subject matter to understand. My loss was due to noise long ago. Dr Abbott was simply outstanding. She clearly understands what those with hearing loss are going through. She truly has compassion. She did an outstanding job of arriving at my prescription fast, explained how she arrived at that prescription, and then walked me through my options of different hearing aids as well as what to expect.. She listens and welcomes questions then actually answers those questions with understandable explanations. I had hearing aids from an audiologist who was not nearly as thorough and didn’t even test the hearing aids he prescribed, after they were fitted. Dr Abbott did test mine to ensure I was hearing what the test said I should be hearing. I feel like I’ve found an audiologist who really has a passion for helping people with hearing loss. The facility is clean and modern and the staff is very friendly and understanding. They actually smile!! The wait in the waiting room was always short. I would highly recommend Dr Abbott and Bay Area Audiology to anyone who has concerns for their hearing, and don’t delay. The earlier your hearing is corrected, the better it will serve you in your future. And don’t worry about how aids look. They hide well and BAA has solutions that hide completely inside the ear. If you have any concerns call the office and make an appointment. You’ll never regret it. I promise.
